Troll fun
When I was little, in kindergarten, we used to play this game: We’d listen to “In the Hall of the Mountain King” by Edvard Grieg (great Norwegian composer) and play out the scene from “Peer Gynt” by Henrik Ibsen, being trolls, sneaking around, and then go into wild dancing, and then finally, at the end of the song, turn to stone (as the sun ‘rose’).
I think this was a great game. Fun way to get in touch with our national culture and folklore. (btw, Norwegian troll range from tiny little goblin-ish imps to huge giants, like the Mountain King - like in the movie “Troll Hunter.”)
